Patron Experience, Behaviour and Sentiment
Session Information
How do event stakeholders provide safe, gender neutral and socially aware event spaces?
More than ever, event stakeholders must be vitally aware of consumer sentiment and behavioural issues to maintain a positive customer experience that exceeds expectations.
In 2018 event environments are faced with a wide range of social issues to consider when planning and delivering an event. This includes language used in promotion and marketing, the personnel that event attendees encounter, as well as the food, entertainment and environmental and security control. In this session, we gather stakeholders to explore two key areas:
Your Choice - a music industry supported campaign initiated to address the growing cultural issues around behaviour and lack of personal accountability within Australian venues and event spaces. The goal of Your Choice is to help influence a culture of positive behaviour through shared responsibility.
Australia Day - the celebration, date and ultimate meaning behind the day can be interpreted very differently by many Australians. Event stakeholders have countering views on the significance, relevance and need for Australia Day celebrations.
