BRAD GLASSINGTON

Assistant State Inspector (Investigations & Emergency Response Directorate), SafeWork NSW

Brad Glassington is an Assistant State Inspector with the Investigations and Emergency Response Directorate of SafeWork NSW.  Brad has a background in law enforcement that includes 15 years with the NSW Police Force were he  spent a number of years in the area of covert evidence gathering before moving to the Police Aviation Support Branch (Airwing) as a Tactical Flight Officer. 

It was at the Airwing that Brad developed an interest in safety and risk management, specifically where it applied to helicopter operations.  Brad then moved on to the private sector where he spent time as an aviation safety and risk management consultant.  It was in this role that Brad developed an understanding of the importance that leadership plays in ensuring that organisations have the systems, processes and resources to effectively manage the risks to both the safety of their workers and the profitability of their business operations. 

Brad took this understanding into his role as an Inspector with SafeWork NSW.  Brad has been with SafeWork NSW for almost 10 years and is currently a senior investigator responsible for conducting investigations into serious workplace incidents.
